Position Summary
Seeking nursing instructors with a broad range of experience to provide year-round clinical instruction. Adult health, medical-surgical, and /or critical care experience preferred. Candidates with prior teaching or student supervision in a clinical setting preferred.
Detailed Position Information
The Capstone College of Nursing has over 2,200 students enrolled in programs leading to BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD degrees. At the MSN level, we offer concentrations for Nurse Administrators, Family Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. We offer both post BSN and post MSN entry points in our DNP and PhD programs. Our Joint Nursing Science PhD Program is offered in collaboration with the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in nursing is required. Candidates must be willing to work days or evenings and be willing to provide clinical supervision in Tuscaloosa or Birmingham year – round. Additional requirements include current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Alabama. Advanced practice experience and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred.
