Job Description:

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of the Nursing Program and Clinical Faculty, the Clinical Facilitator will assist with adapting educational experiences in an effort to assure sufficient and competent nursing care for patients in various clinical settings. 

General Responsibilities:

• Manage the clinical area and clinical experience for students along side clinical coordinators and faculty.
• Responsible for supervision of students in the clinical area.
• Student orientations and clinical scheduling duties as assigned.
• Must be familiar with hospital organization and management and have sound knowledge of good nursing principles.
• Ability to interpret procedures and policies and to develop, devise, and adapt techniques and methods to meet the needs of the students, clinical affiliates, and patients.
• Report student performance fairly and consistently toward course objectives.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.

Requirements:

• BSN in Nursing
• Must have a minimum of two years in the clinical setting with at least one year of experience in an acute care setting.
• Two or more years of acute care experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Strong knowledge on Nursing Informatics.
• Unencumbered RN Nursing License in Tennessee or Compact State.
• Ability to demonstrate basic nursing skills.
