Responsibilities*

An auxiliary person who assists the nurse in providing care to patients and is under the supervision of a professional nurse. Assists in obtaining and caring for equipment. Helps maintain a safe and clean environment in the patient unit.


Required Qualifications*
  • Must currently be enrolled in a nursing program and have completed at least one Medical/ Surgical clinical rotation.
  • Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities which include moving, transporting and positioning patients and equipment as well and constantly positioning self to provide patient care and related duties.

Desired Qualifications*

Completion of two years of nursing school course work or two years of experience as a medical technician in the armed forces.


Work Locations

Shift/ Hours: minimum schedule hours requests during the interview. 


Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
