Job Description
Intensive Care Unit | Main Campus | 1275 York Ave
Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am with weekend and holiday rotation
We are seeking Nursing Assistants to become a part of our team of dedicated professionals! As a member of our Magnet- designated Nursing team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff, while working to ensure comfort and safety for our patients and their family members.

You Will:
- Be responsible for taking patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate, temperature and oxygen saturation
- Encourage patient to perform exercises and guide patient activities as advised including ambulating, transferring, turning and positioning
- Maintain a clean, comfortable environment for each patient that aligns with MSK policies and procedures
- Perform personal hygiene tasks for patients including bathing, mouth care, peri-care and skin care
- Ensure patient has necessarily supplies every single day including a clean gown, towels, soap, etc; change bed linens as needed
- Record intake and output
- Escort discharged patients out of hospital as directed by RN
- Provide Post-mortem care
You Are:
- An effective communicator, able to resolve how best to reach difference audiences
- Excited to work as part of a care-giving, patient-centered team, capable of building positive relationships and delivering patient-centric solutions
- A problem-solver, eager to take initiative in new situations and address tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and passion
- Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared goals and objectives
- A good decision-maker, with shown success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
You Have:
Nursing Assistant or other healthcare related certification (PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Home Health Aid, LPN) required, OR at least 1 year of healthcare related experience (NA, PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Home Health Aid, LPN) in lieu of the certification.
- BLS Certification required by the time of hire
