  • JOB DUTIES

Description

The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered. This a limited 6 – month appointment- a limited appointment may convert to career.



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

* MSN or DNP with Adult Gerontology Acute Care nurse practitioner certification – required. * State of CA RN and NP certification – required. * State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II- required. * National NP Board certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care nurse practitioner specialty – required. * NPI – required. * DEA certification – required. * Enrollment in PECOS * Enrollment on CURES – required. * Previous inpatient nurse practitioner experience – HIGHLY recommended (will consider a New Grad NP only if they have specific recent and relevant experience on a Liver Transplant Service) * BLS and ACLS from AHA – required. * This a limited 6-month appointment – a limited appointment may convert to career * NP1: less than 6 months exp : $76.51/hour
