Position Summary
Position provides education and training to clinical departments to ensure their employees have adequate knowledge and skills to perform the essential responsibilities of their positions.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides services to customers to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Participates in quality improvement processes to facilitate changes within the clinics.
- Identifies department and clinic dissatisfaction and intervenes appropriately.
- Provides education to employees by developing their knowledge and skill base to perform the duties of their job.
- Assists with training and educating new employees on policies and procedures, equipment, and skill competencies.
- Maintains knowledge of current facility policies and procedures.
- Participates with compliance teams to facilitate and coordinate communication to health care teams of changes in policies, statutes and regulations.
- Follows appropriate communication channels within the School of Medicine and Faculty Practice Plan.
- Performs assessments, planning, and implementation of standard processes and protocols.
- Demonstrates the ability to clearly and accurately assess clinic issues and provide guidance for appropriate action.
- Collaborates with Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Infection Prevention for the School of Medicine and our hospital partners.
- Initiates development of new ideas and methods to provide cost effective care, safety and quality, and positive outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a registered nurse working in a clinical setting.
- Minimum of one to three years of experience with policy development and staff training.
- Experience in an ambulatory setting.
- Familiar with OSHA and CDC Infection Prevention guidelines.
- Ability to communicate with customers in a positive, timely, and professional manner exemplifying excellent customer service skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with three years of nursing experience; previous health and patient education experience.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, accordance with the Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range
$63,500.00 - $114,200.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
