Description
Northern Colorado Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife in Northern Colorado. Our mission is to provide compassionate care and medical treatment to wildlife species, while also educating the public about the importance of wildlife conservation, coexistence, and habitat preservation. An internship in wildlife rehabilitation at Northern Colorado Wildlife Center may involve tasks such as providing medical care and feeding for injured or orphaned animals, monitoring their progress, and assisting with their release back into the wild. The interns will also engage with the public when they are experiencing a wildlife related emergency or a human-wildlife conflict. Interns will also be encouraged to participate in educational events and to complete a multi-week project. This role requires a strong commitment to animal welfare, a passion for environmental conservation, and excellent communication skills to effectively educate the public about the importance of wildlife. Unfortunately, all internships are unpaid and no housing or transportation is provided. The internship period is for 30-40 hours/week for approximately 10 weeks. Applications close May 15th
