Dr. Sarah Gaither’s Duke Identity and Diversity Lab is looking to hire a Non-Duke Student/Intern (NDSI) research assistant for summer 2023. The Duke ID Lab (https://sites.duke.edu/dukeidlab/ ) studies how different identities, contexts, and situations impact our behavior in diverse settings for both adult and child populations.

The NDSI research assistant will help recruit, schedule, and run participants both in our lab space and also off-site at various locations throughout the Research Triangle. Additional responsibilities will include composing literature reviews, stimuli creation, transcription of audio and video recordings, data entry and management. They will be involved with administrative tasks and will contribute to general lab upkeep. Additionally, they will be given opportunities to collaborate with other researchers in the lab, attend relevant talks on campus, and discuss primary source articles as members of the lab with graduate students, a lab manager, and the PI.

The research assistant will work up to 20 hours per week.
