The student will be working closely with graduate students and a postdoctoral researcher at the Duke Quantum Center to build an experimental setup to trap individual ions for quantum technology applications. Team working skills, engineering and data science experience is desirable as this position will be related to optical communications data gathering and analysis.

The student will help with lab operations and research on ion trap quantum computing. The intern will receive training and experience. Undergraduate course work in introductory math and physics,

This position will be located at Chesterfield Building, 701 West Main Street Office 4500, Durham, NC

This position will not be supported by Sponsored Research Funds.

This position will not be remote.
