Outline of HIV R25 Program Activities: 

Every week 

· Group meeting with other interns to present work in progress 

· 1-1 with lab and quantitative mentor to get feedback and suggestions 

Beginning of program 

· Literature review 

· Plan process for carrying out the research plan 

· Learn how to use appropriate languages/software tools necessary for task 

Core of program 

· Conduct the research for the project 

· Write code for data analysis, simulation or visualization 

· Execute and evaluate machine learning models 

End of program 

· Prepare summary and poster of lessons learned and scientific results 

· Submit abstract to national/international conference
