Occupational Summary

As an HR intern, you will be an essential contributor to our department's projects and initiatives. Your role centers on providing crucial administrative support within the realm of Human Resources, where confidentiality and attention to detail are important. Your core objective will be to assist your supervisor in managing administrative tasks, to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of organizational operations. 

Work Performed

Confidential Administrative Support: Help maintain accurate employee records and update databases.

Documentation and Filing:  Assist with various HR-related paperwork and administrative tasks. Assist in organizing files, ensuring they are properly labeled, stored, and easily retrievable, contributing to the overall efficiency of the HR department's administrative processes.

• Support HR Initiatives and Projects: Collaborate with HR team members to contribute to various initiatives as needed. This may include researching best practices, analyzing data to identify patterns, and assisting in the preparation of presentations or reports.   

•Aid in the Development of Training Materials and Resources: Collaborate with the HR team to assist in the creation and refinement of training materials and resources for various development initiatives. This includes tasks such as conducting research on training topics, gathering relevant content from internal sources, and formatting materials into informative resources. Assist in ensuring that training materials align with university policies, procedures, and objectives. 

•Assist the HR team in Addressing Employee Inquiries and Concerns: Assist in researching and resolving employee questions or concerns by consulting relevant HR policies, escalating issues to the supervisor, and following up to ensure satisfactory resolution. Documenting inquiries and resolutions, identifying recurring themes, and recommending improvements to HR processes or communication strategies as needed. 

•Collaborate with the HR team to Identify Learning and Development Needs: Work closely with HR team members to conduct assessments and gather feedback from employees and managers to identify learning and development needs across the organization. Assist in analyzing data to generate actionable recommendations for designing and delivering targeted learning initiatives.
