Occupational Summary

CLASSIFICATION ESTABLISHED FOR ANY NON-DUKE STUDENT PAID AT AN HOURLY RATE. THIS INCLUDES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, VISITING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS, AND HOURLY VISITING GRADUATE STUDENTS. THE INCUMBENT WILL PERFORM VARIOUS DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE DEPARTMENT. INCUMBENTS ARE COMPENSATED AT VARYING RATES OF PAY BASED UPON THE WORK BEING PERFORMED AND ACCORDING TO THE PAY SCHEDULE DEVELOPED AND MAINTAINED FOR EACH DEPARTMENT. INCUMBENTS MUST BE PAID AT LEAST MINIMUM WAGE.

Work Performed

Dr. Rajendra Morey’s PTSD & TBI Neuroimaging Lab is looking to hire a Non-Duke Student/Intern (NDSI) research assistant. The Morey Lab’s primary research area is focused on brain changes in post-traumatic stress disorder. The second research area is focused on understanding changes in mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) using diffusion imaging, resting-state functional MRI, and structural imaging to better understand the role of clinical symptoms and mechanism of injury.

The NDSI research assistant will help with administrative day-to-day activities of research projects and within the lab. This position is for 4hrs/week.
