Medical Student Assistant, Duke Eye Center
Job description: Non-Duke Student Intern
(6-8 Week Summer Program)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a laboratory research project under the mentorship of Eye Center faculty members
  • Attend structured weekly professional development and networking sessions in research methodology and career development
  • Participate in clinical activities related to their area of research (if applicable)
  • Collaborate with other medical students from various departments
  • Deliver a presentation about the summer research experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate excellence in previous academic endeavors


Education
Bachelor’s degree required

Enrolled in medical school or will have matriculated medical school by June 2022
