The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The Nakagawa Lab is seeking an individual to help with their NIH and ACS-funded project characterizing the role of endogenous DNA damage in squamous cell carcinogenesis. Responsibilities include including routine 2D and 3D cell culture, modified comet assays, immunohistochemistry, DNA cloning, and analysis. This staff member will assist Samuel Flashner, PhD as he executes his project.
Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with projects to DNA damage response under homeostasis and disease conditions in the upper aerodigestive tract.
- Assist with the methodology for this project including analyses of genetically engineered murine models, 3D organoids, CRISPR gene editing, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
- Prepare tools and reagents, perform experiments, and collect data under the direct and daily supervision of Dr. Samuel Flashner, a Postdoctoral Researcher in Dr. Nakagawa???s laboratory.
- Assist with data presentation, and weekly/monthly summaries, attend weekly lab and individual meetings with Dr. Nakagawa.
- Perform other duties/task as requested and/or required.
