Position Summary Information


Objective
This position will provide non-credit healthcare instruction at Brenham, North Zulch, La Grange, Sealy, and Schulenburg (consortium) ISDs. Courses include Clinical Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Certified Nurse Aide, and Phlebotomy. This position is for current ISD employees only of these school districts.
Essential Duties
1.Obtain clinical locations for all healthcare. 
2.Teach credit and non-credit classes. 
3.Evaluate and report program progress. 
4.Monitor clinical process and student progress. 
5.Verify required documents for participants. 
6.Assist all instructors in implementation of courses. 
7.Serve as point of contact for facility agreements. 
8.Facilitate and assist with student resolutions. 
9.Maintain communication with clinical partners. 
10.Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1.Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies that impact the healthcare programs. 
2.Ability to communicate in a professional manner with high-level medical staff, instructors, students, and other stakeholders. 
3.Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
4.Ability to follow and abide by Blinn College District policies and procedures.
Preferred Experience and Training
1.Five or more years in a related healthcare occupation, such as licensed vocational nursing, registered nurse, pharmacist, pharmacy technician, certified clinical medical assistant, or medical doctor. 
2.Three or more years in a nursing home or assisted living facility. 
3.Two or more years working with the Texas Health and Human Services on licensing and accreditation. 
4.Two or more years developing relationships with local clinics and hospitals to develop clinical sites for students.
Physical Requirements
Required Degree, License or Certifications
1.Holds current license in the medical field of practice 
2. Three (3) or more years experience in healthcare and/or healthcare administration
