The Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB) seeks reliable students to assist with maintaining multichannel communications to positively promote the College.  The MDCOB Digital Communications Team creates digital content for web, print, mobile, social, and audio to create and post content.  Projects can range from but are not limited to, support for newsletter development, photography at events, and graphic/flyer development.  While messaging through digital communications can be conducted from any location with internet access, engaging with internet access and engaging with the individuals necessary to build content occurs within the college.  Therefore, this position will require time spent physically in the college.

DUTIES

  • Regularly creates and posts relevant content to the college's social media channels
  • Regularly reaches out to students and faculty to incorporate their stories for marketing content to include social media
  • Attends college events in order to obtain content for the creation of marketing collateral
  • Re-posts relevant content from the University and other related channels
  • Creates posts based on other University publications such as "Points of Pride" and UHD Magazine
  • Maintains an organized calendar of content with a productive rhythm of posting
  • Assists in creating a monthly summary of all content posted in the previous month

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be outgoing and willing to interact with students and faculty, investigate journalism style, and construct content for posts
  • Must have familiarity with various social media outlets and demonstrate a willingness to learn and research new technologies
  • Must have access to a functional smartphone to use for work-related activities
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Must be professional, responsible, and punctual
  • Must have strong computer skills
