Position Summary
UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTERACADEMIC Functional and Stereotactic NEUROSURGEON
The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and clinical partner Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska has an immediate opening for a full-time clinical academic functional and stereotactic neurosurgeon to join our highly skilled and collaborative faculty. This opportunity consists of patient care, teaching and training, research, and ongoing programmatic development. High-volume multidisciplinary programs in epilepsy, movement disorders, and pain are present and expanding rapidly on campus. Candidates with clinical or translational research interests are encouraged and strongly supported.

The Department of Neurosurgery maintains the only neurosurgical residency training program, functional and stereotactic fellowship, and endovascular fellowship programs in Nebraska. The Department of Neurosurgery is also home to NIH-funded research programs in adult and neonatal sleep dysregulation, spine trauma, and brain tumor imaging/prognosis.
 The ideal candidate will be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree), who is board-certified or board-eligible through the American Board of Neurological Surgery and has completed fellowship training in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery.
