POSITION SUMMARY:
The University of South Florida is seeking fellowship-trained candidates in Neurocritical Care at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to join our growing NCC team at USF/Tampa General Hospital (TGH). Successful faculty candidates will be appointed in the Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Repair, with a joint appointment in the Department of Neurology. Faculty will provide neurocritical care at one of the Southeast?s largest critical care units at TGH, and will participate in teaching and clinical research. Candidates must be a physician and eligible for licensure in the State of Florida, and must have completed a neurology or neurosurgery residency as well as have completed a neurocritical care fellowship.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative duties- complete clinical obligations such as chart completion, patient follow-up, finalize billing, etc.
Clinical duties- treat patients with neurological disorders or traumatic brain injuries within the TGH neurocritical care unit.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Docotral Degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate for the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.  Must meet criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor.  Board certified or board eligible (according to current requirements) by the appropriate American Board with added qualifications in Critical Care.  Must hold or be eligible to hold a full unrestricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan and be a member of the medical staff in good standing at the hospitals where he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:

Revelant experience in critical care.
