Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose | The Network Engineer III is the senior position responsible for designing, securing maintaining and installing networking, telecommunications and computer systems, including advanced troubleshooting. This is a leadership role with limited supervision of junior network engineers |

Duties require extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand and wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Occasional walking, standing and simple grasping. Infrequent climbing stairs, walking across campus, stooping and reaching. Constant communication using both spoken and written means. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Primarily office setting, AV closets and /or data center with exposure to noise and cooler temperatures. Work performed during standard business hours, 8:00AM-5PM, M-F, occasional overtime and hours worked outside of normal schedule may be required to meet business deadlines. Travel may be required to other campuses, meetings or training. Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University’s insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record. |
Hiring Range | $41.00 - $51.38 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
