Basic Function | Under the direction of the Senior Manager Information Technology, the Network Administrator II will apply knowledge and skills to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document network hardware, software and networks for the students, employees, and affiliates of California Lutheran University. The Network Administrator will take a leading role in specialized IT projects. |

Minimum Qualifications | Any combination equivalent to: two years of college-level course work in computers, networking applications and systems, computer science, management information systems, information systems, or closely related field and five years of increasingly responsible experience in computer, network, hardware, and software installation, maintenance, and repair. |
Preferred Qualifications | Bachelors Degree, CCNA, MCSA |
Licenses and other requirements | Valid California Driver’s License |
Physical Abilities | Speak clearly to exchange information; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and replace computer parts; seeing to inspect equipment and configure devices; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds; climbing ladders; bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching; ability to work at heights and operate an aerial lift, and other vehicles to conduct work. |
Environment | Indoor and outdoor environments; constant interruptions; ability to work flexible hours to include nights and weekends; subject to operating a vehicle to conduct work. |
