Network Administrator, Associate

What You'll Be Doing:

The Associate Network Administrator will be under immediate supervision, manage Network incident ticketing queues by actively monitoring the network, responding to incidents, and working incident tickets to conclusion.  As part of monitoring and rectifying network incidents you will be responsible for the creation, documentation, and maintenance of automation solutions for process improvements and efficiency gains using common programming and scripting languages.

 


What We're Looking For:

 

Education and Experience

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in telecommunication, networking, engineering, IT or related field
  • One (1) year of experience in network engineering or related field
  • Experience with creating and maintaining scripting and/or automation solutions using tools/languages such as: Github, ansible, python, pearl or similar
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be accepted

 

Skills:

  • Practical knowledge of Cisco and other vendors’ networking technologies, network standards and best practices, network engineering, and network security and controls
  • General understanding of network routing protocols and their applications and characteristic behaviors
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work after hours, evenings and weekends on an on-call rotation or based on business need
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

 

Preferred:

  • CCNA certification or knowledge
