Job Summary
This position will assist in the care of the Horticulture Club Native Plant Nursery and other Horticulture Club plant growing activities. Responsibilities will include collecting and germinating seed or asexual propagation of native plants, growing on, and marketing—all aspects of the Native Plant Nursery as well as helping to care for other plant involved in Horticulture Club production. Internship credit may be available with consent of the student’s academic advisor and will involve completion of a learning contract.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
· Dependable, able to faithfully perform assigned tasks such as occasional weekend watering
· Able to create and edit MS documents related to plant production and inventory
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Experience working with native plants or plant production preferred but not required.
