Job Summary: | This position will be responsible for providing operational coordination for the work of the Native Nations UW initiative (https://news.wisc.edu/native-nations_uw-madison-working-group-embarks-on-phase-2-of-multi-year-initiative/ ). Working alongside campus colleagues, this position will also contribute to and help advance conversations about NNUW strategic priorities and monitor and shape communications regarding progress towards those priorities. Native Nations UW (NNUW) embodies the university's ongoing commitment to establishing and sustaining meaningful, long-term relationships between the university and the 12 First Nations of Wisconsin and, on the basis of those relationships, offering activities and opportunities on campus that reflect and advance knowledge for and about Indigenous peoples in Wisconsin. The initiative draws on the work of several committees interacting with faculty, staff and students across multiple divisions. The NNUW administrative coordinator will work collaboratively to help facilitate the work of NNUW committees; build and maintain connections between and among those committees and with campus leadership, faculty, staff and students; and assist in the strategic planning, implementation, and assessment of NNUW programming, including coordinating communication about NNUW activities and events. |
