Position Description

The Division of Music at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking an individual to serve as temporary/part-time faculty as Audio Recording Instructor in a part-time position. Duties will include teaching audio recording courses, guiding audio recording students in their development as recording technicians, and involvement in concert performance recordings.


Qualifying Experience / Education

Earned bachelor’s degree plus 15 semester hours of graduate credit in music (or appropriate professional experience beyond the bachelor’s degree) required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience with ProTools, Cubase, and other professional standard recording software is required. Demonstrated competence in teaching and/or relevant music recording experience is desired.

Term: Temporary only
 
Appointment date:  An open pool of applicants will be maintained during the three-year period from 2021 to 2024. Assignments will be made as needed.
 
Salary: Determined by collective bargaining agreement and teaching credits assigned.

Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
 
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and criminal background.
