Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
Provide general admin/office support.
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assist performers in hosting event
  • Setup and takedown chairs, stands, and/or other equipment as needed
  • Open and close doors of performance space
  • Scan tickets
  • May be required to move pianos in performance spaces
  • Interact with Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music Operations Coordinator, the CoPA Patron Services Coordinator and Faculty
  • Maintain audience safety standards before, during and after each performance
  • Manage venue cleanliness and contact janitorial team when necessary
  • May be required to lift up to 25lbs
  • Manage student usher team performance which includes:
  • Taking attendance
  • Hosting pre-show meeting and distributing assignments
  • Ensuring all tickets are scanned properly
  • Aiding in managing and escalated patron issues as they pertain to seating
  • Emergency preparedness
  • Communicating relevant information to the production team and working with various faculty to ensure their class requirements are met. (Attendance and performance.)
  • Required completion of house manager reports
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and passion for the Performing Arts (theatre, dance and music).
Previous experience managing a group or team.
Previous experience in customer service and/or front of house management.
Prior experience with a ticketing system.
Comfortable with public speaking.
If applicable, you may be required to drive your personal vehicle to conservatory events.
Special Instructions to Applicants
This position will require some advanced emergency preparedness training such as CPR/AED and Active Shooter training. These will be offered on the job or scheduled on campus
