The Museum Studies M.A. Program seeks two Graduate student workers from within the Museum Studies M.A. program to assist with administrative, social media, admissions-related, and event planning needs. Students must be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with technology and various social media platforms.Full Job Description:
Working on a flexible basis with the Museum Studies Graduate Program Director and the Museum Studies Program Manager, this position will assist with the following tasks:
- Evaluating, making recommendations for, and preparing posts for the Museum Studies blog
- In coordination with the Program Manager, organizing marketing materials including, but not limited to, assisting with the development, execution and supervision of a social media campaign
- Assisting with Museum Studies Information sessions, open houses, and other departmental events, as needed
- Serving as a contact for prospective students- answering students’ questions and providing information about the current student perspective
- Assisting with organization of Capstone database and library
- Assisting with organization of and maintenance of program’s digital alumni database
- Occasional clerical tasks on an as-needed basis
- Planning the Museum Studies 10 year reunion in association with the California Association of Museums Conference in February 2025
- Maintaining "Student Office Hours" for incoming and current students
