Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) is engaged in a multi-year initiative to increase the breadth and scope of its faculty in biomedical sciences and engineering. We are inviting applications for multiple faculty positions in biomedical engineering, bioengineering or associated applied biomedical sciences at all ranks (assistant, associate, or full professor) to be part of one or more departments, including Intelligent Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
We welcome candidates specializing in computational, theoretical, experimental, clinical, or translational research. Candidates should complement one or more of Indiana University's existing strengths as well as new initiatives in synthetic biology, chemical biology, biohealth informatics, and toxicology. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, computational modeling of living systems, biomedical digital twins, organoids, cell, immune and tissue engineering, biomedical and bioinspired robotics, sensors and bioelectronics, biomedical control, advanced imaging, and nano-scale technologies. Candidates interested in entrepreneurial activity are encouraged.
Successful applicants will be expected to engage in collaborative and transdisciplinary teaching and research. These are 10-month appointments, with a preferred start date of August 1, 2024, although alternative dates can be negotiated. For full consideration, apply by March 1st, 2024.
