The Purdue Alumni Association, a dues-paying, membership-based organization, connects over 600,000 alumni with each other and Purdue, providing valuable programs, services and content that enrich the personal, professional, and intellectual lives of alumni and students. We’re looking for a Multimedia Manager/Designer to bring our mission and value proposition to life through world-class multimedia executions including photos, videos, animations and other engaging content.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Creative Communications, the Multimedia Manager/Designer will serve as the organization's catalyst to engaging members and prospective members in a dynamic, voice-of-alumni, storytelling way. Strong collaboration with peers and staff throughout the organization will be critical to success, along with a hands-on, whatever-it-takes approach to meeting the role’s demands.
The Multimedia Manager/Designer will have a deep knowledge of digital creative/content development and production, as well as possess a strong understanding of how to translate marketing strategies into high-impact multimedia marketing materials. He/she will have a robust "360" understanding of marketing and the consumer experience.




Qualifications

 
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in an agency or internal creative team.
  • Excellent visual communication skills to present ideas and information in a multimedia context.
  • Understanding of web and digital analytics and measurement.
  • Knowledge of content management system, CSS, color theory, layout and graphic design principles, fontography, typography, animation techniques.
  • Knowledge of principles and operation of the Internet.
  • Knowledge of current technology in advanced video streaming and animation/interactive content delivery techniques.
  • Knowledge of mobile app content development, traits and idiosyncrasies of various Web browsers and operating systems and audio/visual equipment.
  • Knowledge of software that includes but it not limited to:  Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Imagination and creativity along with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills with good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good collaboration skills.

 

Additional Information:


  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. 

  •  A background check is required for employment in this position.
  • FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)


  • Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contributions Immediately.
