Position Details:

The Opportunity:

As the Multimedia Engineer, you will serve to support and facilitate the technical engineering aspects of the multimedia offerings/productions of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication and Northwest Public Broadcasting by designing, configuring, implementing, and monitoring the aspects for live and prerecorded productions in the studio and in the field. You will also maintain, support, and advise on field/studio production equipment and drive to field locations throughout the state of Washington to maintain technical equipment.


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired.

  • Demonstrated experience with multimedia equipment.

  • Training or experience in multimedia streaming.

  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse customers and groups in project management.

  • Possess, or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid, unrestricted driver’s license. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training or experience in OTT streaming.

  • Experience as a lead role in project and production management.

  • Work experience in a Public Broadcasting environment.

Monthly Salary:
$4,508.70 - $5,800.00 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
