Job Summary
Supports marketing and communications efforts for the Office for Global Engagement and U Asia Campus by conceptualizing and producing engaging video and social media content.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Office for Global Engagement Marketing Manager, the Media Production Coordinator plays an integral role in video and social media content strategy, creation, and execution.
The Media Production Coordinator will produce polished photo, video and social media content, have strong storytelling skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of marketing best practices.
Video
  • Oversee a video projects’ entire life-cycle, from concept through production, post, review, and launch phases
  • Gathers, organizes and coordinates materials needed to create marketing videos
  • Write drafts of scripts for audio or video production
  • Collaborate with other teams across campus to help shape video concepts and deliver on project deadlines
  • Manages video asset library

Social Media
  • Promotes, enhances, grows, and cultivates the “Global U” and U Asia Campus brands via various social media channels
  • Develop daily workflow for monitoring, amplifying, sharing, and cultivating content
  • Engages in brainstorming and team meetings to generate ideas for promoting events, initiatives, and the international activity of the U via social media
  • Independently create content for and publish social posts using a scheduling tool, monitoring for and encouraging engagement once live
  • Attend and document events related to the Office for Global Engagement, the U Asia Campus, and other affiliated offices
  • Track analytics, creates reports, and reviews past efforts to determine effectiveness and guide future strategies

  • Other reception, clerical, and office duties as assigned, such as coordinating events and assisting with special projects and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); two years related experience with black and white and color photography required; demonstrated communications skills; and a commitment to providing excellent customer service required.

  • Experience with data analysis and organization to support reporting and decision-making processes
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working collaboratively with Marketing Department and other internal departments
  • Able to receive and implement direction from other team members
  • Work nights or weekends as necessary to attend events and activities
