Job Summary/Basic Function

The Office of Multicultural Services and Programs seeks a Graduate Assistant to coordinate cultural, educational, and professional development programs for our resource centers. The five resource centers include the:; • International Student Resource Center; • La Casita Student Resource Center; • LGBTQ+ Student Resource Center; • Veteran’s Resource Center; • Women’s Resource Center

Specific Responsibilities
Work Schedule
20 hours per week. MSP hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 8am-6pm and Fridays from 8am-4:30pm. Evening hours and some weekends will be necessary for program implementation.

Job Duties


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of MSP signature programs.
  • Design, coordinate, and supervise approximately 3 student resource center programs each month.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all MSP workshops and programs.
  • Develop materials for educational workshops.
  • Create program manuals for easy reference.
  • Supervise undergraduate student staff members and assemble teams to assist with program implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with student organizations to assist with program implementation and leadership development.
  • Establish, monitor, and update social media and website presence for MSP and specific student resource centers.
  • Organize and maintain the student resource center spaces.
  • Assist with special projects and represent MSP at various events and programs.
  • Staff information tables at open houses, orientations, and other events as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
