FNP/ENP Program Coordinator and Tenure-Track Faculty

The University of Mount Union seeks a full time, tenure track faculty in Nursing who will serve as Program Coordinator of our new MSN and certificate programs. These low residency hybrid programs were purposefully designed for frontline nurses, providing the flexibility of online learning complemented by hands-on skill development during short intensives guided by our dedicated faculty. Students can opt for FNP, FNP with ENP certification or the stand-alone ENP certification. Our graduate programs are a natural extension of our top-ranked, CCNE accredited BSN and accelerated BSN programs. Responsibilities

Under the guidance and in consultation with the Chair of the Department of Nursing, the MSN program coordinator will support innovative teaching, enhance enrollment growth through effective recruitment and retention of students, orient new faculty to their respective didactic or clinical roles, classify and place students into appropriate clinical rotations, assist in preparation of reports and proposals for the program, and communicate and develop partnerships with external agencies. 


Qualifications

Required Credentials of the Graduate Nursing Program Coordinator:

  • Completion of an approved registered nursing education program in a jurisdiction as defined in paragraph (R) of rule 4723-5-01 of the Administrative Code;
  • Experience for at least five years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse; three of which have been as an advanced practice nurse and two of which have been as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program;
  • A doctoral degree, and a masters degree with a major in nursing and concentration in the advanced practice area. 
  • Current, valid licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse in Ohio.
  • Current credentials in the advanced practice area, e.g. FNP, ENP. Dual credentials are preferred. 
  • A record of achievement sufficient to sustain a credible application for tenure and appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. 
  • Record of successful collaborative leadership, interprofessional collaboration, and community engagement. 
  • Experience in developing and delivering online coursework.
