Princeton University, Office of Advancement seeks a MS Dynamics/Systems Engineer to join the Analytics & Data Management Team. The MS Dynamics / Systems Engineer is responsible for managing the relationships and processes related to implementing and maintaining functional responsible configuration of the CRM platform, testing, training and facilitating solutions to any problems that arise with the application. Working with both technical staff and business constituents to translate business requirements into technical solutions; maintaining technical and user documentation.

 



CRM System Admin & Data Management

  • Perform CRM System Admin functions including security, technical support and strategic goal development in collaboration with technical colleagues.
  • Involvement in testing, training and implementation of the CRM Dynamics application in a vendor-hosted on-prem application.
  • Lead and/or assist in the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and integration in the CRM system using SSRS and dashboards.
  • Assist in developing custom workflows
  • Troubleshoot Dynamics CRM errors and performance related issues
  • Provide business analysis support on production issues

Cross-Team and Departmental Collaboration

  • Collaborate with analysts and end users in the testing of new software programs and applications.
  • Work closely with business intelligence analysts to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
  • Serve as a solid contributor of the data management team
  • Participate with cross-departmental teams in support of the priorities and information needs of Advancement
  • Work with other Advancement partners to analyze and resolve data quality issues

Best Practices and Process Improvements

  • Create detailed documentation of the cloud data warehouse as part of project solutions and general production support
  • Continue to build competency in new cloud data tools and programing methods such as Snowflake, Python, R, etc.
  • Plan and perform Proof of concept and innovation sprints leveraging advanced technologies and assessing viability to the existing business processes


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM technology
  • Understanding of the functional capabilities and limitations for out-of-the box functionality as well as custom code
  • Strong background in the planning, designing, installing, configuring, and customizing of relational data modeling of Dynamics CRM solutions that are innovative, while observing best practices in regards to supported extensions of the platform
  • Server-side competencies – security and customizations and integration points
  • Understanding of Entities, Workflows and Configurations
  • Understanding of the Dynamics CRM data model including experience in designing, creating, customizing and configuring Dynamics CRM solutions, including innovative module solutions using both core CRM capabilities as well as custom xRM solutions
  • A working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, operating systems, networking, and security

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the CRM API, web services REST/ODATA and SOAP endpoints
  • Experience with XRM Toolbox
  • Experience in customization, JavaScript, C#, .NET, HTML and SQL Server, including plugins, scripting and form creation
