MRI Technologist - Westlake Village

  JOB DUTIES
  

As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will: * · Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders * · Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed * · Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations * · Perform accurate image archival * · Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media * · Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient *This positing is for 2 open positions* Salary Range: $49.73 – $65.56 Hourly

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  

* Licenses * ARRT, CRT – required. MR certificate required OR * ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) – required * Venipuncture certificate – required * BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required * Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program – required * AA or BS – preferred * At least 1 year of MRI experience – preferred * Siemens experience – preferred * Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies * Ability to identify contraindications for exams * Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills * Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes) * Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology *
