Primary Purpose: To assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic MR scans of various organs and structures of the human body. Operates with minimal supervision, uses independent judgment to determine quality of images, and compliance with established protocols

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Skills

Education: Associate's degree in radiologic technology, minimum required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.

License and Certifications: Completion of JRCERT approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology.  Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.  Successfully completed and passed MRI registry.  Must participate in continuing education activities in accordance to the ARRT guidelines.  Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association must be held.

Years of Experience: Prefer one year of experience but not necessary.

Required Skills and Knowledge:Must complete at least 24 hours of direct credit continuing education every 2 years
