Position Summary
This position will contribute to efforts to facilitate high-quality, mutually beneficial practicum experiences for Gillings MPH students and community partners. The MPH Practicum Support Specialist provides administrative support to the Gillings MPH practicum program across all delivery formats (residential, online, and distance) and is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and reporting on students’ practicum experiences. The person in this position will have significant engagement with the practicum team and Gillings students, community partners, faculty, and staff. The position reports to the MPH Practicum Director.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Ability to work with a team or independently with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy 
* Ability to implement processes and operations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement 
* Outstanding written and oral communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills 
* Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and discretion 
* Ability to reliably manage priorities and deadlines effectively with exceptional attention to detail
* Experience working with students and providing administrative support
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Teams, Excel, Word, and/or Outlook. * MS Teams proficient
* Canvas proficient 
* Qualtrics proficient
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Experience in student services or student affairs positions preferred. 
* Higher education and/or public health experience preferred.
* Strong graphic design skills, preferred 
* Student services experience, preferred

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
