Job Summary/Responsibilities
  • The candidates, under UNF faculty mentor oversight, will work closely with MOCA Curatorial staff to catalogue the objects, participate in the preparation of the exhibition and contribute to the didactic material to be included in the catalogue and the galleries.
  • assist in conducting in-depth, art historical investigation connected with the items in MOCA’s Permanent Collection
  • will consist of object-driven research, including access to the objects in the museum’s permanent holdings and access to the expertise of the museum’s professional staff.

Required Qualifications
  • A current UNF Student who is enrolled and in good standing.
  • Each applicant must submit the following:
    • o A resumé with GPA, graduation focus and expected date, awards, community service, contact information (telephone and email)
      o three references (telephone and email). One of the references must be a current professor.
      o A letter outlining the reasons for their interest in the post (500 words max.)
Preferred Qualifications
This program is addressed to students interested in Interdisciplinary arts research, with particular focus on the development of the cultural scene of the 70s in New York. Applicants should have discussed the opportunity with their professor and/or department chair to ensure it meets their program requirements if pursuing course credit.
