The Mobile App Service Lead is a position within the Digital Communications Group reporting to the Associate Director. The position provides leadership and management of NYU’s mobile app offerings, including our flagship app, NYU Mobile. Primary focus is to lead the evolution of NYU Mobile, manage mobile app stores and developer accounts, nurture relationships amongst team peers, colleagues, and stakeholders while also staying on top of new mobile platforms, tools, methods, and trends.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years of related experience. Demonstrated results in managing mobile app/web services or similar leadership coordination role.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years product management/service lead experience. Experience in higher education and/or large non-profit setting. Experience working with Apple and/or Google Play app stores and the Modo Labs Kurogo mobile platform. Technical experience developing a mobile application or developing various data feeds.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong awareness of market-share mobile operating systems, default interfaces, and successful mobile web design (both touch and not). Ability to tie goals to strategies and to use assessment tools to prove results. Self-starter with ability to maintain their own schedule and task lists and to conduct their own troubleshooting and problem-solving activities before reporting to a manager. The Mobile App Service Lead must have a strong business, interpersonal, and product management competencies and comfort working in a complex and globally diverse organization.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards. A working understanding of web services and some knowledge of web programming is a plus.
