PREFERENCES:

  • Supports/administers/maintains assigned servers and applications.
  • Monitor and maintains servers and computers, insuring maximum performance and system integrity. Establish a baseline for system performance and capacity planning.
  • Communicate project status to manager, customer, and team members.
  • Ensure deliverables meet all relevant quality and security standards
  • Provide data to generate team performance metrics.
  • Knowledge transfer with team members to improve overall support and team education level.
  • Identify root cause defects and systematically redesign standards and methodology to provide constant improvement.
  • Security focused; knowledgeable of least privilege security model, tiered rights.
  • Performs rotating and supplemental On-Call.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience configuring/supporting Microsoft 365 products, including AD Connect, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive in a security focused environment.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting email end user issues related to Outlook, M365, Outlook Web, Mobile Devices, permissions, mail flow, calendars and distribution lists and fulfilling associated email service requests.
  • Experience with installing, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows Server environment including server hardware (HPE ProLiant, Synergy) and software (Windows Server 2019/2016/2012R2).
  • Experience supporting/migrating SharePoint environments on premise and to M365.
  • Follow best practices and established procedures for maintaining OS, network, and hardware related security to include antivirus, firewall rules, least privilege NTFS/share permissions, and installation of security updates for the operating system and associated hardware.
  • Manage system performance and reliability through proactive monitoring to predict, troubleshoot, identify, and address performance and stability related issues with the operating system and associated hardware.
  • Proactive in creating and maintaining server and infrastructure documentation including detailed information of server and network configurations, application installations, and problems/resolution for future reference.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Position Compensation Range: $23.54 - $37.66 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2016/2012;
  • Experience supporting multiple Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2016/2012 servers.
  • License/Certification: May require a valid Virginia Driver’s License (VADL)
