Position Qualification


Position Summary
The UNMC College of Public Health Department of Health Services Research and Administration is seeking an individual to serve as an Assistant or Associate Professor with an emphasis in health administration. The successful candidate will direct the MHA program as well as pursue independent and collaborative research leading to extramural funding, contribute to student mentorship and teaching responsibilities associated with the masters and doctoral programs (specifically the MHA, MPH and PhD programs in health services research, administration and policy), participate in service to UNMC and the community, and collaborate with other faculty in the College of Public Health and other units in UNMC, the University of Nebraska, and with State and community organizations (relating to health) in the design, initiation and implementation of research projects requiring skills relating to health services research.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include a doctorate degree in health administration, health services research, public health or related fields. Evidence of strong quantitative skills, record of publication and extramural funding, and graduate-level teaching as well as 3 or more years of experience in a faculty position are preferred. Applicants with the MHA or MBA degree and who have experience in the academic setting will be considered. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Supplemental Qualifications
An additional qualification includes 3 or more years of experience as director or associate director of an MHA program or experience in a senior administrative position relating to externally accredited degree programs.
