Job Description

--- The Mentoring Coordinator will lead partnering educators in planning, organizing, communicating, and monitoring evidence-based services within schools and ensure that they are aligned to specified project outcomes. The incumbent will oversee project management, participant management, and development of high-quality resources in support of the mentoring services. This professional will facilitate the ongoing development of each participating school educator to ensure the successful implementation and management of a school-based mentoring program. This incumbent's job tasks will include: 
  • Project Management 
  • Participant Management 
  • Team Coordination  
  • Professional Learning Facilitation 
  • Evidence-Based Practice 
  • Instructional Design
  • Research

 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor Degree OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience,  AND:

  • 18-36 months of experience working in an educational setting

Skills:

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
  • Able to present effectively to different populations

Certifications:

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to engage in repetitive motion and communicate effectively.

Departmental Preferences:

  • 5 or more years of teaching in a secondary classroom
  • Masters degree
  • 2 or more years as a school counselor, social worker, and counselor
  • Demonstrated experience in development of counseling professional learning experiences for others

Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
