Job Summary
A position developed to offer individual and classroom support for all education staff to ensure positive outcomes for children’s learning. Will train and mentor all education staff and provide ongoing support for staff development and developmentally appropriate practices in the classroom.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. 
1-3 years experience as a mentor/coach providing adult education in early childhood education or child development topics. 
5-7 years experience as a lead teacher in a licensed child development program with children ages 0-5. 
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Child Care Director Certification
  • 7 years of working as a lead teacher in a licensed child development program with children birth to 5
  • 3 years of working as mentor/coach providing adult education in early childhood education or child development topics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure successful implementation of program plans and operation procedures in the classroom through observations, documentation, and follow-up. Train and mentor all education staff in appropriate teaching strategies. Develop and monitor specific goals for teachers to enhance their own professional development.
Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback and ongoing support to promote developmentally appropriate practices and teacher-child interactions. Assist with the collection and analysis of child progress data and staff performance. Assist in classroom planning and curriculum implementation. Plan and conduct individual, small group and program training throughout the year.
