Mental Health Practitioner

Creighton University is seeking to hire a full time Mental Health Assistant Director for Student Outreach.

 

  • This role creates, coordinates, assigns, and conducts various student outreach education and programming around mental health issues including, but not limited to, group therapies, workshops, tabling events, and presentations. 
  • Facilitates social media outlets and manages website content for Student Counseling Services.  This may also include working with the department’s therapy dog. 
  • Works with peer educators to increase access to student education and outreach on various mental health topics.
  • As part of the student care and outreach functional area in Student Counseling, this position also provides direct counseling to students, works with various crisis cases, and carries a caseload, as a Mental Health Practitioner, by providing individual, group and couples counseling for Creighton students in the context of psychological services.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Clinical Social Work.
  • Three years’ post-degree experience in mental health setting.
  • Previous experience working in a college setting or with college-aged students is preferred.
  • Licensure (or eligible) as an Independent Mental Health Professional (LIMHP) in Nebraska
