The Pathology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Technologist, Microbiology section. Incumbent performs stat and routine clinical microbiology laboratory testing consistent with written procedures under the direction of the laboratory supervisor or manager. Tests are analyzed and results are reported with accuracy and timeliness to facilitate and support clinicians. The Medical Technologist works independently and resolves problems efficiently and effectively. Performs other duties as assigned.
The minimum requirements are as follows: Possession of current/valid Florida State Medical Technologist License in Microbiology is required. Associate in Science Degree required. Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or a biological science preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of related experience required. Computer proficiency preferred. Flexible schedule. Available to work during disasters. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority.
