Position Description:

The University of Louisville, Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a motivated and organized individual to manage multiple fellowships, medical students, and various responsibilities in the department. The position manages the coordination for all allopathic, osteopathic, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner student rotations and shadowing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination for all student rotations and shadowing at the Emergency Department of University of Louisville Hospital, and medical student rotations at the Emergency Departments of Norton and Jewish Hospitals.
  • Coordination and EMR (electronic medical record) training for off-service residents rotating within the department of Emergency Medicine. EMR training for emergency medicine scribes.
  • Daily office duties as needed.
  • Support DEM faculty.
  • Implementation and communication of patient follow-up for clinical tests.
  • Patient walk in and phone issues.
  • Clinical follow up for pharmacy/emergency department/prescription/billing calls.

Competencies

  • Must be able to collaborate with multiple entities and manage many processes simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
