Medical Research Technician
Medicine - Nephrology
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary

The Medical Research Technician is responsible for accurately performing research projects to assist with laboratory experiments, biochemical and molecular biology assays to support Nephrology fellows' research projects as well as support research projects under development by Nephrology faculty.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of basic techniques in protein chemistry and molecular biology

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to pro-actively work independently, multi-task, and balance priorities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • One year of directly related experience required

Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 23.
