Vaccination Requirement

The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).

Position Summary
Perform phlebotomy on patients in a clinical setting at the Regional Pathology Services (RPS). 
Responsible for all duties related to processing and result reporting of outreach laboratory specimens while adhering to departmental identification policies. Provides extensive client service communication with RPS customers, including managing information about patient specimens. This position is located at the Oakview Clinic near 144th Street and Center Street.

Preferred Education: Associate's degree

Preferred Experience:
Phlebotomy in outreach laboratory setting, Proficient in collecting urine drug screen collections, alcohol testing, paternity collections.
Preferred License: Yes

Preferred Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred Other Computer Applications: Sunquest, CoPath, Epic, patient record software, ATLAS

Ability to complete phlebotomy protocols, compliance, and safety. 
Customer service background in a medical or healthcare environment. 
Knowledge of PC/data entry and medical terminology. 
Ability to type 50 wpm.
