Bachelor’s degree in computer science from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and one year experience as a computer programmer or systems analyst; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and two years experience as a computer programmer or systems analyst.

Essential Functions


These are the job duties required of the position.


Essential Functions
Under direct supervision, provides basic professional level support in areas of systems analysis to evaluate business objectives, facilitate definition of user requirements, and implement and maintain custom software applications and system integrations; gathers information, defines work requirements, and contributes to the development of program specifications; writes, tests, and troubleshoots code of routine to moderate complexity for review by senior level technical staff; assists in developing and implementing software enhancements for web-based software solutions;maintains established applications using defined procedures and coding standards; assists in developing application modifications to enhance functionality; creates and updates documentation for applications and may provide training to users on new or changed processes; consults with users to analyze needs and correct program defects; documents process flow and update documentation when required; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
