Position Summary:
Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed personnel. Maintains clinical competency and provides assistance in that area when required.

Efficiency and Effectiveness
Management of physician patient flow.
a. Ensures that patients are brought back to clinic and processed in a timely and efficient manner.
b. Monitors and supervises daily patient load to ensure efficient daily flow.
c. Maintains physician and RN satisfaction & responds promptly to patient care needs.

Medical Clinical Knowledge & Skills.
a. Demonstrates knowledge of basic & discipline-specific medicine.
b. Uses evidenced based practice & appropriate medical evidence to assist others in guiding clinical practice.

a. Collaborates effectively with all members of the healthcare team to provide patient-focused care.
b. Obtains, understands, & applies appropriate medical evidence (diagnostic tests, information technology & clinical research).
c. Uses available resources effectively to help physicians guide medical practice.

a.Gathers essential & accurate information about his/her patients.
b. Effectively develops & carries out patient management plans, including patient education/ counseling, & obtains appropriate consults when needed.
