Job Summary
Under direct to general supervision, provide faculty, staff, and students with technical support in the operation and set-up of media equipment. Provide professional and courteous instruction to faculty and staff in the proper use and handling of AV equipment. Possess the ability to diagnose media system problems. Will assist in maintaining a schedule of preventative maintenance. Must be dependable, reliable and be able to work both independently and as a team member.
Minimum Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience in media technology service, preferably in an education environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver equipment to classrooms, provide audio-visual set-up and support. Receive, set-up, clean and otherwise ensure proper functioning of media equipment to support classrooms and events. Assist in monitoring audio-visual equipment security by checking it in and out to track location of equipment. Assist in the control of inventory and tracking equipment use. Learn proper procedures to follow preventative maintenance schedule. Participate in training on basic equipment and equipment maintenance. Set-up data projectors and connect with laptop computers as needed, cable together and connect various types of equipment and patch panels. Operate and demonstrate a variety of sophisticated electronic equipment including LCD-video-data projection systems, electronic media podium systems, etc. Provide instruction to faculty & staff on use of multimedia equipment. Respond to calls for assistance. Participate in training in troubleshooting college media equipment.

Additional Information
Ideal candidate should have intermediate knowledge of AV equipment; able to identify which equipment is appropriate for the request and makes recommendations to others when appropriate. Maintain basic computer skills, knowledge of email programs, word processing and spreadsheet software. Read charts on database and advise clients. Provide professional and courteous instruction to faculty and staff in the proper use and handling of AV/Media equipment. Maintain oral and written skills to convey technical information, ideas and facts accurately, thoroughly, courteously and in a manner easily understood.
THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION.
A remote work schedule is not available for this position.
Will work evenings.  May work weekends or other hours as required. The performance of these essential functions requires that the incumbent must be able to stand, walk, push, or pull equipment on cart with wheels, weighing up to 70 lbs., inside or between buildings; must be able to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders, stretch to reach equipment, and replace equipment at ceiling level.
